Doc Brown is gearing up for the release of Fake on Rawthentic this month and dropped off a mix perfect for your next party this spring.
Miami has been a hotbed for talented artists in the house music scene, and one of the most authentic who calls that city home is Doc Brown. His originals and remixes have graced labels ranging from Insomniac and Farris Wheel to SNOE and Box of Cats, while he also heads up his own imprint, Unlearn:Records. Doc Brown has also been a fixture behind the decks, taking the stage at festivals like EDC Las Vegas and hosting a residency on Groove Cruise.
This year has seen Doc Brown continue to cement his place in the scene. Not only did he return to Groove Cruise Miami for another epic takeover during the sailing, but he’s dropped off some fantastic tunes like “Shazam It,” “Let Me Let You,” and “The Eleven” for fans to feast their ears on.
In just a few days, he’ll check another box off for labels he’s trotted around when his Fake EP lands on Carlo Lio’s Rawthentic. The two tunes on this release show off Doc Brown’s skills in creating peak-time energy moments and those that hypnotize the mind. While you’ll have to wait until May 9 for the full release, he’s spun a mix for the Spring Sound Waves series that gives everyone a taste of what’s in store.
I wanted to do something special for the EDM Identity team since they’ve always been such great supporters of myself and the label, so I put together a showcase mix that includes a bunch of unreleased tunes from both as well as a handful of outside tracks from label artists. Hope you enjoy it!
