Fans in eight cities will follow coordinate drops to pop-up parties where they can win tickets to Bass Canyon as well as merch and VIP upgrades.
Excision Presents has taken a page out of Insomniac’s book by finding a novel way to announce the Bass Canyon 2025 lineup. Today, April 9, and tomorrow, April 10, fans in eight North American cities will participate in a scavenger hunt called Decipher The Drop to collectively piece together which artists are slated to perform at The Gorge in Quincy, Washington from August 15-17.
On their social media channels, Excision Presents will share coordinates in New York City, Chicago, Montreal, Denver, and Phoenix today. Tomorrow, coordinates corresponding to places in Austin, Denver, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas will be shared. Each set of coordinates will be dropped ten minutes before a pop-up party at that location. Once there, fans will be tasked with tracking down a poster with special instructions.
The first person to find the poster will win a ticket to Bass Canyon 2025. Other fans who arrive within an hour of the drop will be awarded merch, VIP upgrades, and other prizes. The festival’s organizers have shared that other surprises lie in store for those who find their way to each pair of coordinates soon after they drop.
Bass Canyon is one of the more popular festivals organized by Excision (real name Jeff Abel), who started releasing music under the alias in 2007. He also annually hosts a festival called Lost Lands in Legend Valley, Ohio that has become a bonafide mecca for fans of heavy bass music. He inaugurated both gatherings in 2018.
The Bass Canyon 2025 lineup will be shared in full on Friday, April 11. In the meantime, keep an eye on the festival’s official social media channels to participate in Decipher The Drop.
