Dirtybird Campout and Northern Nights Music Festival have announced a groundbreaking collaboration as the two experiences join forces to bring some summer fun to Cook’s Valley Campground on July 18-20.
After a long-awaited hiatus, Dirtybird Campout is officially coming back amid the 20th anniversary of Dirtybird—and this time, it’s teaming up with Northern Nights Music Festival for a one-of-a-kind festival experience. The two independent events are joining forces for a weekend of music, art, wellness, and community from July 18-20, 2025, at Cook’s Valley Campground. Located on the Humboldt/Mendocino County Line, the site offers a stunning natural setting with towering Redwoods and direct access to the Eel River.
Dirtybird Campout has been a staple in the dance music scene for years, known for its summer camp-style games, quirky atmosphere, and a lineup packed with house and techno favorites. Meanwhile, Northern Nights has made a name for itself over the past decade by pioneering new festival experiences, including being the first to offer legal cannabis sales and consumption on-site. Now, the two are coming together to create something bigger than either could do alone.
The decision to combine forces comes at a time when independent festivals are facing increasing challenges, with rising costs leading to cancellations across the industry. Instead of scaling back, Dirtybird and Northern Nights are doubling down, proving that collaboration can be the key to sustainability in an evolving festival landscape.
The 2025 festival will bring together the best of both worlds—Dirtybird’s signature offbeat fun and Northern Nights’ forward-thinking approach to festival culture. Attendees can expect an eclectic lineup, immersive art installations, wellness offerings, plenty of games to participate in, and interactive experiences that push the boundaries of what a festival can be. With both brands known for fostering tight-knit communities, the collaboration is set to attract a diverse crowd of music lovers looking for more than just a party.
“Northern Nights has always been guided by the mission to bring the city to the country, a vision that began with a Dirtybird Showcase at our very first festival,” said Andrew “BLAP” Borgelt, Co-Founder of Northern Nights. “This collaboration is more than just a partnership – it’s a powerful demonstration of what festivals can achieve when they unite to create something bigger than ourselves. Known for pushing boundaries and redefining how music, experiences, and nature intertwine, Northern Nights is thrilled to join forces with Dirtybird to craft an unforgettable summer weekend.”
For those who’ve been waiting for the return of Dirtybird Campout, this new chapter promises to be worth it. With an iconic location, two powerhouse festival brands behind it, and a focus on community-driven experiences, the 2025 edition is shaping up to be one of the summer’s most anticipated events.
