Hamdi has made Chicago his home, and he’s taking over Cermak Hall for a four-week residency in March to celebrate his official housewarming with a flurry of friends.
It’s been impossible to ignore Hamdi‘s impact on the dance music scene over the past few years. The UK-born DJ and producer has left his mark on the community with his signature blend of UK Garage, dubstep, and grime that has been heard on intoxicating tracks like “Counting” with Princess Superstar, “Skanka,” and “Push” with Skrillex, TAICHU, and OFFAIAH. Hamdi’s success led to consistently touring across the pond in the US, and now he’s decided to call one of its biggest dance music hubs his new home.
Earlier this month, Hamdi took to social media to announce that he now lives in Chicago, which was quite a decision to make during the coldest months of the year. He quickly warmed the hearts of his fans in the region by saying he had something special planned to celebrate. That news arrived earlier this week, announcing that he’ll take over Cermak Hall for a four-week housewarming residency in March to help welcome him to the Windy City.
Each week of Hamdi’s Housewarming Chicago Residency brings something fresh and exciting to the warehouse venue. The residency kicks off on March 7 with the “Moving In” show that will bring Taiki Nulight, Bushbaby, and Kiefer Ian to the stage. The “Getting Familiar” show will take place on March 14 when Kettama, Pocket, and Jordan Martin roll into town, while he’ll be fully “Integrated” on March 21 with MPH, Bianca Oblivion, and ROOBIES4EVER. Then, Hamdi will introduce everyone to his “Roommates” on March 21 to bring the residency to a close with a b2b set with LYNY, along with performances by Criso and KI.
Four-week passes and single-night tickets for Hamdi’s takeover of Cermak Hall go on sale Friday, January 17 at 10am CT. Head to the official landing page to make your purchase!
