Pacha Ibiza Publishes New Retrospective Book, ‘Fifty Years of Bliss’

As its title suggests, Fifty Years of Bliss chronicles Pacha Ibiza’s five decades of history.

Few White Isle superclubs boast a legacy like that of Pacha Ibiza, and its owners have decided to tell that story in full. After they’ve compiled photos and stories from throughout the club’s long and illustrious lifetime, the result is a bold and comprehensive book titled Fifty Years of Bliss.

According to a press release, the book now available on Amazon chronicles “how Pacha Ibiza and the island have evolved together,” noting that the club “has become a vibrant part of the island’s history, offering a decadent oasis of celebration.” It also touches on artists and brands who have played significant roles in the story, including Marco Carola, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Solomun, CamelPhat, Bedouin, Robin Schulz, and Ministry of Sound.

As triumphant a tale as it is, however, Pacha’s owners don’t seem intent on making it accessible to as many people as possible. The book’s €300 price tag ensures that only the most diehard collectors will find it worthwhile to get their hands on a coveted copy of Fifty Years of Bliss.

After Ricardo Urgell opened Pacha in 1973, the club became a staple of Ibiza nightlife for its 3,000-person capacity and farmhouse-inspired architecture. The operation quickly expanded to include new venues in cities like Madrid, Tarragona, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and Munich. Today, the Pacha Group is a lifestyle brand “dedicated to sharing the essence of the Ibizan lifestyle with the world” through endeavors in music, hospitality, fashion, entertainment, and leisure.

“Fifty Years of Bliss is more than just a collection of memories; it is a celebration of the spirit and soul of Pacha Ibiza, an enduring icon in the world of entertainment and nightlife,” reads the press release. “Fifty Years of Bliss serves as a reminder of the passion and dedication that has shaped its legacy — one that holds the promise of so much more that’s yet to come.”
