Five Must-See Acts At Apocalypse Zombieland 2024
Vibe Chemistry
Many drum and bass fans may know Vibe Chemistry from his 2021 hit, “Ballin’,” which blew up across the UK with plenty of edits along the way and eventually made its way to niche American dancefloors. But when you dive into the rest of his discography outside of his biggest hits, it’s quickly evident that he doesn’t miss.
Vibe Chemistry has a knack for making some of the catchiest and best sing-along-to tunes in drum and bass. This opportunity to catch him on a US stage isn’t common, so make sure his set at the Containment Zone on Saturday is on your list.
Kursa
No producer creates dubstep quite like Kursa, although it would be unfair to classify his music under just one simple term. He uses elements of nearly every style of bass music, with tunes heavier, some leaning on halftime hip-hop vibes, and many just straight-up experimental goodness.
The one thing guaranteed is that you never know what kind of set Kursa will throw down, and it will never be the same as the last one you saw. As an artist who typically frequents underground spaces, he’ll likely throw down something special at Apocalypse Zombieland when he takes over The Lab on Saturday.
Skellytn
Drum and bass meets cyber-space is the style Los Angeles-based Skellytn has honed in on over the past few years, and she’s won over a devoted fanbase with her forward-thinking sound. Earlier this month, she released the aptly-titled Cyberspace EP, and fans have been loving the four new edgy DNB offerings.
Skellytn is bringing her talents to Apocalypse Zombieland’s Containment Zone stage on Friday and is sure to deliver a set you won’t want to miss. Her signature style is undoubtedly too perfect for the dystopian theme, and we can’t wait to see her shine next weekend.
SHIVERZ
Riddim may not be for everyone, but if any artist could convert you to the dark side, it would be SHIVERZ. It’s shelling on sight when this talented UK-based DJ and producer takes the stage and a performance not to miss, regardless of your stance on the genre.
SHIVERZ sets are filled with plenty of relentless chops and signature “monsters” samples, giving his performances some of the most insane energy in bass music. Don’t sleep on his set on Friday at The Lab stage.
The Widdler
The general rule of thumb in the dubstep world is never to miss a Widdler set. An artist who’s earned his well-respected place within the community over the past decade-plus, he just released a 43-track album with a dystopian-themed aesthetic this fall.
Known for each set he plays being better than the last, The Widdler is another artist you’ll never see perform the same set twice, and we can’t wait to see him dominate the decks at The Lab stage on Saturday.
