Although Gem and Jam Festival 2025 has been called off, organizers have announced the dates of the 2026 event.
Count Gem and Jam Festival among the long and growing list of event brands to call off large-scale gatherings in recent memory. The three-day music, art, and precious stone celebration will no longer take place from January 31-February 2, 2025 as planned. The next edition is now slated to run from February 6-8, 2026 at the Pima County Fairgrounds in Tuscon, Arizona.
Organizers shared the news in a statement published across Gem and Jam’s social media channels. “We know how much you’ve been anticipating the 2025 lineup announcement, and we’ve been just as excited to share it with you,” it reads. “Unfortunately, sometimes, no matter how much heart and effort we pour into something, the stars don’t align in the way we’d hoped.”
The statement shares that organizers opted not to “push forward and force something to happen,” deciding instead to “take a year off and postpone the festival in 2025.” It doesn’t go into detail on the specific factors that led them to call off next year’s gathering. The statement simply says, “After tirelessly working on the lineup and things not falling into place like they usually do, it just didn’t feel right.”
Organizers of events like Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain and Envision Festival (which postponed its 2025 event on Saturday) have cited rising costs and decreased demand for festival tickets as key reasons for their own cancellations.
Gem and Jam Festival inaugurated in 2005, at first to complement the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase. In the nearly two decades that followed, the gathering became a destination in and of itself. This year’s event billed headliners like Of The Trees, LP Giobbi, and Disco Biscuits.
Ticket holders for Gem and Jam’s 2025 event are entitled to entry at the 2026 event or a full refund. Refund requests must be submitted via organizers’ Google Form by 11:59pm PT on November 18.
