Groove Cruise DJ Contest Heads to Phase 2; Donations to Benefit Hurricane Relief Fund

Groove Cruise’s DJ Contest has officially entered its second phase. Whet Travel announced that 100% of all donations will go to its Hurricane Relief Fund.

Last month, Groove Cruise announced the details for its Cruisin’ For Kindness DJ Contest, which gives undiscovered DJs the opportunity to play during the 2025 sailing and have the experience of a lifetime. After receiving plenty of submissions, today they’ve announced the details surrounding the contest’s second phase and some updates on where donations made during the voting process will go.

Artists who made it to Phase 2 of the Cruisin’ For Kindness DJ Contest include Bella Renee, Celestial Dreamers, Nicolette, New Girl, Sunyrse & Derya Zor, Tequila Or Water, Madlon, Kode Pink, Arya Ara, Palmer, and Cofun, among others. These artists will all have the mixes they created live-streamed on Groove Cruise’s official Twitch channel on October 19. During the livestream, fans can vote for their favorite artists by donating on Tiltify, with every dollar donated on the artist’s behalf counting as two votes.

Groove Cruise also clarified where the funds raised will be going this year. 100% of all donations raised during the Twitch broadcast will be given to the Whet Foundation’s Hurricane Relief Fund, which will help those affected by the recent events on the East Coast. Additionally, Whet Travel is doing even more this year by pledging to match all donations up to $10,000 until the contest’s conclusion.

Not only will the Groove Cruise Family and fans of these artists be helping their favorite DJ get the chance to play during the 2025 sailing, but they’ll also be giving back to a good cause.
