Doomtown Cancels 2024 Edition Citing “Abysmal” Ticket Sales

Las Vegas bass music festival Doomtown has been canceled. The festival’s director claims that ticket sales were “abysmal” this year.

Fans of dubstep, drum and bass, and experimental bass sounds in Las Vegas were treated to a pleasant surprise last year when the debut edition of Doomtown was announced and took over venues in the Downtown area. In May, the sophomore edition was announced with a stacked lineup that built up hype for what would take place later this year, but today, the festival’s organizers have canceled the upcoming edition three days before it was set to kick off.

The director of Doomtown took to social media to officially announce that the 2024 edition would not take place. The festival’s organizer cited abysmal ticket sales as the cause for the cancellation. “Doomtown is small and inexpensive by design, it was set up that way so we wouldn’t have to worry about canceling due to inflated production or administrative costs, but ticket sales for this year have simply been abysmal and no matter what was tried to patch the problems it just didn’t pan out,” L shared.

We aren’t going to point fingers or create drama. We completely understand if people are upset and apologize to the artists, their teams, and more importantly fans that were excited about this weekend.

This statement also clarified that B-Side and Daisy Chain, two other promoters involved with the festival, were only marketing partners and “not responsible for this situation.”

Doomtown 2024 was set to feature artists including Alix Perez, Ivy Lab, Ternion Sound, Distinct Motive, Hugh Hardie, Monty, MPH, and more in the Fremont St. + Arts District area of Downtown Las Vegas.

Those who purchased tickets to this year’s edition of Doomtown will be contacted via email regarding refunds, which will take a few days to process through. The email associated with refunds is [email protected].
