HARD Selects intends to reflect the evolution of global underground music. Its debut event will feature DJ Heartstring’s party brand, Teenage Dreams.
HARD Events has been at the forefront of showcasing top-tier artists and those rising through the ranks for over a decade. One glance at the lineups for HARD Summer and other satellite events puts that on full display, while the label side of the brand has also championed dynamic styles. Now, they’ve announced a new sub-brand, HARD Selects, to help keep the energy levels high in the event space.
HARD Selects was born from the behemoth brand’s desire to pay homage to Los Angeles’ unique scene and its ethos, aesthetic, culture, and selectors while spotlighting diverse global talent. This new series of showcase events will bring HARD together with key promoters from the underground to further that mission and give dance music lovers in Southern California fresh and exciting experiences.
The first of these showcase events from HARD Selects sees them team up with Stranger Than;, Tunnel, and Lights down Low to bring DJ Heartstring and their Teenage Dreams party to The SUPER-MRKT. This newly converted space led by Stranger Than; was a former grocery store that has since become a new home for dance music in Los Angeles.
Artists slated to join the dynamic duo at the show on November 9 include Boys Noize, AK SPORTS, Malugi, Patrick Mason, Skin on Skin, Etari, Oscar Osorio, and OZA, making this a night that’s sure to pack plenty of power.
That’s not all that HARD has planned for HARD Selects, as they’ve also announced that they’ve teamed up with Goyo Club for a series of streams. HARD is set to take over the Electric Cleaners series at the end of September, with artists including Bianca Oblivion, Star Eyes, Trax Unit, and Etari slated to perform at the family-owned Koreatown laundromat.
