House music sensation Matroda has been named the headliner for the Monster Energy Up & Up Festival during its run of shows at colleges in the US this fall.
Since 2016, Monster Energy Up & Up Festival has shaken up the scene in a positive direction. While many events have focused their efforts on drawing in attendees who are currently in college, this brand has taken it to the next level by giving them the opportunity to be involved in the experience on a deeper level. The “Final Four of College Music Festivals” pits campuses against each other to sell the most tickets to their local edition in 48 hours, with the top five colleges winning their chance to collaborate with the Up & Up team to bring their show to life.
Previous headliners for Monster Energy Up & Up Festival have included Dom Dolla, Chris Lorenzo, and, most recently, Disco Lines. The festival will carry on with its tradition of bringing banging house music energy to the stage with Matroda, the latest artist announced to headline the series.
Croatian DJ and producer Matroda is on a tear in the scene lately with his unique sound booming from speakers all over the planet. The Terminal Underground label boss has taken the stage at EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland Chicago, Electric Forest, and Ultra Europe this year. He’s also dropped smashing tunes like “Britney” with Dances, “The Funk You Want” with POLOVICH, and massive remixes of Tiga and Audion’s “Let’s Go Dancing” and DJ Snake and Peso Pluma’s “Teka,” among others.
The Monster Energy Up & Up Fall 2024 national competition will kick off on September 17 at 4pm ET. From that day until September 19, college students will be able to sell as many tickets as they can for their chance to host one of the stops that will be held from October through November.
College students seeking music industry experience and internship credit can apply to be ambassadors via the Monster Energy Up & Up Festival website. Once the competition begins, follow the festival’s Instagram account for updates on the ticket leaderboards and winning colleges.
