Franky Wah has Luggage, Laptop Stolen in Ibiza

Franky Wah said he left his bags in a car while visiting a restaurant in Ibiza’s Jesús village.

Nobody wants to lose their laptop, but it can create serious, career-limiting setbacks for a DJ in particular. Franky Wah is acutely aware of this, as the Yorkshire, England native recently shared that he had his laptop and other personal effects stolen in Ibiza.

“Right, I need your help, guys,” Franky Wah (real name Luke Storrs) said frantically in a video posted to Instagram last night around midnight Ibiza time. “We’re in Ibiza in the Jesús area. Just been in a restaurant now, left the bags in the car. Everything’s been taken.”

Storrs went on to say, “It’s got so much irreplaceable items in there — all my music, my laptop, everything. There’s a reward for anyone that can give me any information of who it might be, where they might be. It’s a small island. There’s a good chance of getting this back in Ibiza.”

Next up on Storr’s list of tour dates is an appearance at the White Isle’s Club Chinois on Sunday, June 16 for the opening party of his SHÈN brand’s weekly series. By our measure, that gives him a little over three days to retrieve his laptop and, with any luck, the rest of his luggage.

Raised on a farm in Doncaster and originally finding fame as a bodybuilder, Storr enjoyed dance music since all the way back when he heard Paffendorf‘s 2001 trance classic “Be Cool.” He started DJing himself at age 23, and his first official release was the 2017 tech house weapon “House Party.” A couple years later, he opted for a melodic and often breaks-laden style that can be heard in singles like “Get Me High” and his Sasha collaboration, “Haunted.”

Help spread the word about Franky Wah’s missing laptop by sharing his post. We here at EDM Identity have our fingers crossed that it finds its way back to him safe and sound.
