Longtime NorCal staple SUNSET Campout returns to Belden from June 21-25. With less than a month left until the 2024 festivities commence, organizers have shared the full lineup for the underground-leaning dance music festival.
House and techno selectors Cassy, Josh Wink, DJ Heather, and Mark Farina are among the more recognizable names on the bill. Those with a finger on the pulse of dance music’s cryptic undercurrent will also notice folk heroes like Gene On Earth, Mystic Bill, Xosar, Danny Daze, and Josh Cheon.
All told, the Sunset Campout 2024 lineup consists of 56 names. Organizers tout the event as family friendly and also offer yoga and mindfulness workshops as well as healing practice activations.
Sunset Campout has taken place annually in Belden since 2009. Situated along the Feather River in Plumas County, the gold rush town-turned resort destination includes a restaurant, general store, and other amenities, all of which are made available to attendees during the five-day festival. Belden is popular with hikers and has next to no cell reception, according to the event website.
Sunset Sound System is the promoter responsible for Sunset Campout. Resident Advisor notes that it also organizes events at Bay Area venues such as The Great Northern, The Foundry, and Belle Hornblower.
Sunset Campout 2024 was formally announced in February and began sharing lineup details in April. Meanwhile, a number of festivals have folded this year, and NorCal gathering High Sierra Music Festival revealed that it “must change if it’s going to endure.”
