The Thai New Year, or Songkran is a culturally important holiday in Thailand that holds immense significance for many locals. Similar to many New Year celebrations around the world, this is a time for families to come together and participate in various festivities, with the use of water, which plays a customary role in celebrations as a source of life and spiritual renewal. Each year, the renowned water music festival S2O in Thailand marks the holiday with a combination of water-themed decorations, performances by top DJs, and exuberant water fights where attendees engage in playful water gun sprays and bucket fights.
With many successful festival productions in Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and more, S2O is set to make its U.S. debut in New York City this Labor Day weekend. On August 31 – September 1, the first-ever S2O festival in America will make a splash at The Brooklyn Mirage for a two-day celebration of the immersive water music festival.
Presented by Pulse Events, the inaugural edition of S2O New York will feature headline performances by Marshmello and Subtronics. On August 31, the all-time favorite Marshmello will delight the fans with his rousing set, alongside additional support from Alan Walker, Timmy Trumpet, Borgeous Dzeko, and more.
The following day, dubstep superstar Subtronics will take center stage to sweep the attendees off with his uncompromising sound. Other stellar acts such as Said the Sky b2b William Black, ARMNHMR, Kaivon, LEVEL UP, and more are joining him. In addition, other Asian-American acts such as SENSEI, Zion B2B Jomu, Cyberpunk b2b PSYXTOI, and JOKAH will be ready to make fresh memories with the fans across the two days.
