Mere days after Friendship wrapped up its 2024 sailing, Gary Richards and his crew shared the dates and pre-book info for the 2025 event.
Cruise ship festivals clearly operate on a tight turnaround. You might recall that Insomniac couldn’t even wait a day after the inaugural sailing of EDSea ended to announce the 2024 edition, and Groove Cruise already announced future dates before their ship even sailed. Friendship isn’t wasting any time, either, announcing its 2025 sailing less than a week after the 2024 event drew to a close.
Friendship 2025 will take place a month and a half later in the year than the 2024 sailing did. The Norwegian Joy will set sail to Belize from Miami on February 21 and return on February 26. As you might expect, no lineup details have been shared at the time of writing. This year’s Friendship lineup was announced in full in August of last year.
Friendship is more or less the second incarnation of Gary Richards‘ original cruise ship festival, Holy Ship! Past lineups have included names like J.Phlip, Doc Martin, Peggy Gou, and Chris Lorenzo. The 2024 sailing treated those onboard to performances by the likes of Chris Lake, VTSS, Boys Noize, Justin Martin, and Mr. Carmack, along with a 24-hour island party in Belize featuring Skrillex and a surprise Dog Blood set on the ship.
Their most recent edition welcomed over 3,000 attendees who were able to participate in a flurry of activities while on board. Other unique experiences on Friendship include Dial-A-DJ, the Friendship Pro Skate Team, and Dita Von Teese’s “Shipteese” show.
Pre-booking is available now with a code. General pre-booking for Friendship 2025 opens on Tuesday, January 23 at 10am PT.
