Winter Music Conference returns to Miami’s Faena District bringing together music, technology, education, and culture on March 16 – 19, 2020.

The spring music scene in Miami saw a number of changes in 2019. Ultra Music Festival tried out a new location and also took ownership of the Winter Music Conference (WMC) after 33 years as an independent operation. For 2020 the festival will see a homecoming of sorts as it returns to Bayfront Park and WMC will remain in the Faena District. For those who wondered if the conference would stay in Miami, there is no longer any doubt.

Now in its 35th year, Winter Music Conference continues to be an important part of the electronic music scene in North America. Every year the conference draws industry professionals and music lovers alike to share every aspect of the scene. It gives die-hard fans a rare look behind the curtain as professionals take time to share their experiences. Taking place during Miami Music Week assures that there is something for every dance music aficionado that week.

“I’m so glad to see WMC rebooted with such thoughtful content and first-class curation. It’s been a long time since the industry had a must-do American event and this is it. The reborn WMC!”

– Patrick Moxey, OWNER, Ultra Music

Content details are still forthcoming, but we now know the new format of the conference. Last year there were two “sides” of the conference, one for industry insiders and another for music consumers. This year, instead, there’s a unified conference with three tiers of access: WMC Access, WMC Plus, and WMC Pro. All three tiers provide access to the core discussion content and MMW Oasis. Additionally, the Plus tier includes industry panels and nightlife programming, while the Pro tier includes all this, plus mentor sessions and industry mixers.

The MMW Oasis at Generator Miami will run in conjunction with WMC and returns as a social hub during the conference. Located just steps from the Faena Forum at Generator Miami, Oasis will host cocktail hours, pool parties, networking events, and the new Mentor Sessions series.

“If you want to know about our industry from the people that make it happen then go to WMC. It’s an accelerated masterclass in all things dance music.”

– Carl Cox, DJ/Producer

More details surrounding Winter Music Conference 2020 will be released soon, so stay tuned!
