House and techno mainstays like Kevin Saunderson, DJ Heartstring, Octo Octa, Dom Dolla, and Delano Smith adorn the Movement Detroit 2026 lineup.
Paxahau is pulling out all the stops for Movement Detroit‘s 20th anniversary. Back in December, the local promoter dropped a compelling lineup teaser, and now they’ve finalized the full list of performers for the gathering set to take place at Hart Plaza from May 23-25.
At a glance, a handful of buzzed-about names add to the already formidable draw of the annual house and techno mecca. These include “hard techno high priestess” Sara Landry, tech house titan Dom Dolla, and rising house star Josh Baker.
As per usual, though, Movement’s talent buyers heavily emphasized Detroit talent. Longtime scene fixture Delano Smith, breakthrough act DJ Minx, early techno innovator Eddie Fowlkes, and Amsterdam-based transplant DJ Bone are all set to represent Motor City dance music.
Some of these local fixtures will be showcasing their celebrated side projects at Movement Detroit. Kevin Saunderson is performing as E-Dancer alongside his son, Dantiez Saunderson. Carl Craig is taking the stage under his longrunning 69 alias. And Juan Atkins is once again teaming up with Moritz von Oswald to deliver one of their famous Borderlands sets.
The previous Movement Detroit 2026 lineup announcement included artists like Nia Archives, Barry Can’t Swim, 999999999, KI/KI, and Mochakk. Carl Cox was also revealed as one of the headliners after being forced to pull out of his 2025 appearance.
Movement Detroit rose from the ashes of Detroit Electronic Music Festival, which ran from 2000-2002 with a similar focus. Since Paxahau started presided over the event brand in 2006, it has grown into the world-renowned bastion of dance music that it is today.
