Mau P Promises Debut Album and More for 2026

As far as New Year’s resolutions go, Mau P has shared lofty ambitions for the year ahead, riding the momentum of a rise most DJs can only dream of.

Over the past four years, Mau P has risen from a the ashes of a modest artist project to become one of the most in-demand DJs on the market. If everything goes according to plan, though, the Dutch artist’s next moves could be his biggest.

That’s because Mau P (real name Mauritz Westveen) has shared his New Year’s resolutions for 2026, and it’s safe to say he’s aiming high. According to a social media post, the three points of his plan are “an album,” “a label,” and “a clothing line.”

Beyond that, none of these endeavors’ names, dates, or other information is available at the time of writing. It’s unclear whether the upcoming album, which would mark Westveen’s debut studio-length effort, would also come as the inaugural release on his fledgling record label.

And how does the clothing label fit into all of this? It remains to be seen whether it will simply consist of more tailored Mau P merch or be guided by a bigger vision. Westveen recently shared a new bleached-blonde hairstyle, suggesting that his image could be more on his mind as of late.

Originally producing and playing big room under the name Maurice West, Westveen pivoted to tech house during the COVID pandemic. His first official release as Mau P was “Drugs from Amsterdam,” which hit #1 on Beatport’s Top 100 Songs & DJ Tracks chart.

He grew to become a well-known fixture of dance music virtually overnight, with additional hits like “Beats for the Underground” and “Like I Like It” further cementing his legacy. In May 2025, he released his debut EP, Too Big for B-Side.

If you’re a Mau P fan, make sure to watch his social media channels closely as he appears to have a lot in store for 2026.
