Halfmoon Festival Winter Program Puts Psy on Center Stage in Thailand

Psytrance artists like Blastoyz, Ghost Rider, and Blazy feature heavily on the lineups announced for Halfmoon Festival’s December 2025 – February 2026 outings.

Halfmoon Festival — which takes place twice a month in Koh Phangan, Thailand — has just announced the headliners slated to play its December 2025 – February 2026 gatherings. And spoiler alert if you’re unfamiliar with this event brand: these lineups go heavy on the psytrance.

Blastoyz is an obvious standout of the upcoming Halfmoon Festival lineups. Having produced music since he was only nine years old, the Israeli artist counts collaborations with the likes of Seven Lions, Vini Vici, and Infected Mushroom among his career accomplishments.

Hailing from Brazil, Blazy has also generated his fair share of buzz. In 2017, he became the youngest artist to top the Beatport psytrance chart, a feat he’s now accomplished eight separate times. In 2024, he released his debut album, The Chase, to resounding praise.

Ghost Rider represents Russia on the Halfmoon Festival winter lineups, and for good reason. Ever since he released his first album on psytrance mainstay Iboga Records in 2012, he’s landed on lineups at festivals like A State Of Trance, Universo Paralello, and XXXPERIENCE.

German DJ and producer NEELIX isn’t strictly a psytrance artist, but he’ll appeal to those in attendance all the same. He’s been active since the turn of the millennium, famous for his unique fusion of progressive trance, progressive house, and electro. His distinct sound will perfectly complement that of the other artists on the lineups.

Other artists on the Halfmoon Festival winter lineups include Reality Test, Querox Berg, WHITENO1SE, Silver Panda, Blanka, Ranji, MR.BLACK Tezla, IARA, Don’t Blink, Tali Muss, Javier Gonzalez, and Dirty Andy.

Halfmoon Festival has been active in Koh Phangan since 2002, offering a more specialized alternative to the Full Moon Party popular among youths. With a few exceptions, each edition typically takes place either one week before or after the Full Moon Party.

Full lineups and ticket information for each of the upcoming editions of Halfmoon Festival can be found on the event website.
