Apocalypse Zombieland is almost here, so read on for our top five picks of artists to dance to with the zombies this year.

Southern California’s immersive, zombie themed bass music festival Apocalypse Zombieland has become an annual highlight for bassheads ever since debuting in Long Beach in 2023. The festival returns to the Queen Mary Waterfront for its third edition on November 28-29, bringing two days of heavy bass across four stages.

Over 90 artists are billed to play Apocalypse this year, with Illenium and Excision headlining the festival. Other notable acts include drum and bass innovators Andy C, A.M.C with MC Phantom, Netsky, Mozey, and Subsonic. Joining them are dubstep heavyweights NGHTMRE, Barely Alive, Eptic, LAYZ, Wooli, Zomboy, and ATLiens, as well as masterful curators of groovy wubs like Ganja White Night, GorillaT, Mary Droppinz, Tripp St., and Eprom.

The back-to-back sets are also a captivating highlight of Apocalypse every year, and 2025 is no exception. Attendees can catch never-before-seen b2bs between Boogie T and Distinct Motive, Captain Bass and Primate, Bou and Kanine, ÆON:MODE and Delta Heavy, and more pairings.

With so many incredible acts across two packed days, planning a schedule can quickly get overwhelming. To help narrow things down, we’ve highlighted five must-see sets of the weekend.

Single day tickets start at $153.99 while two-day passes start at $228.99. Grab your tickets before they sell out, and step into the apocalypse and burn off those Thanksgiving calories in the pits with the zombies.

Jaclyn Sersland

Jaclyn Sersland

Jaclyn’s journey as a raver began in 2022, but her obsession with music dates back to her middle school days as an angsty emo kid. A firm believer in the emo to raver pipeline, she has found a strong sense of community in the rave scene united by a common ethos of PLUR and a shared love for heavy basslines. A longtime writer and now Master’s in Journalism student at Georgetown University, Jaclyn is passionate about using her voice to spotlight the EDM scene. In particular, she enjoys writing about drum and bass, the number 1 favorite genre of hers, although her music taste spans wide so you will catch her byline on many types of stories. Her favorite artists are Andromedik, Sub Focus, Dimension, GRiZ, Oliverse, Illenium, Grabbitz, Zedd, Basstripper, Subsonic, and more.
