Ministry of Sound channels iconic trance night, The Gallery, in the first installment of From The Archives, featuring Mauro Picotto, Sander Van Doorn, Simon Patterson, and more.
Ministry of Sound is digging through the archives of UK’s club nights without missing a beat. The legendary London nightclub has announced From The Archives, a fresh event series bringing back some of the city’s most recognized heritage club brands. The series launches Saturday, November 29, with the return of trance abode The Gallery, marking its first appearance at Ministry after a decade.
Founded in 1995 by Tall Paul at London’s Turnmills club, The Gallery quickly became a cornerstone of the UK’s trance and progressive house movement. When Turnmills closed in 2008, the gathering found a new home at Ministry of Sound, where it continued its weekly run cementing its status as one of the most respected trance events in the world.

Now, as trance experiences a resurgence, The Gallery is back to connect a new generation of clubbers to these era-defining sounds. The day-into-night celebration will unite pioneers and new-school icons such as Mauro Picotto, Sander Van Doorn, Simon Patterson, Seb Fontaine, Ashley Wallbridge, and Tall Paul himself. Each artist brings their own chapter of The Gallery’s history, promising a journey through the sound that shaped an era.
Fans can continue to expect these curated nights with the new event series as Ministry of Sound has plans for the resurgence of other iconic club nights in 2026. These include Rulin’, the beloved garage and house music party that helped usher American sounds into London’s scene in the mid-’90s, and Frisky, another popular gathering dedicated to house devotees.
For those looking to trace the lineage, Ministry’s 1996 compilation, One Half of a Whole Decade, offers a musical journey into each of these eras. The mix also highlights Logical Progression, the drum and bass night helmed by LTJ Bukem, which also became a defining chapter in the club’s history.
For Ministry, this new event series is both a reflection and a renewal of their influence on dance music culture. More than three decades since its founding, the club remains a creative hub, blending history, innovation, and unforgettable dancefloor experiences.
