Wicked Oaks’ debut edition was met with unkind weather from Mother Nature, but Disco Presents is making things right by providing refunds for those affected.

Halloween is one of the best times for the festival community to come together to party, and that’s exactly what Disco Presents had in mind for the debut edition of Wicked Oaks. This three-stage affair brought Freaky Deaky, illFest, and SVDDEN DEATH’s Summoning of the Eclipse together for what was intended to be a bass-fueled weekend in Texas, but Mother Nature had other plans. Severe storms in the area disrupted the weekend. After communicating throughout the weekend, the Wicked Oaks team has released an official statement addressing the issues that arose.

The official statement begins with the Wicked Oaks team addressing the news circulating online regarding attendee injuries or fatalities. The festival has stated that the information they’ve received from Austin-Travis County EMS indicates that there were two hospital transports on Saturday and five on Sunday. EMS has also advised that there were no deaths or critical patients among those transported.

A tragic vehicle accident involving attendees traveling home from the event did occur in the Bastrop area. The family of Anthony Pike has given Wicked Oaks permission to share his name, and details of his celebration of life event in Dallas will be announced soon. “Our community is small, and losses like this are felt deeply,” said the Wicked Oaks team. “We are profoundly saddened by this tragedy and extend our heartfelt condolences to Anthony’s family, friends, and all who are affected.”

Wicked Oaks continued by detailing the weather-related impacts that the festival faced throughout the weekend. This included the closure of the campground tolls on Friday; the delay in opening the doors, and the subsequent site-wide evacuation later that evening on Saturday; and the free shuttle introduced on Sunday due to the lack of usable parking areas. Their team stated they “worked around the clock to salvage as much of the weekend as possible while keeping people safe.”

The festival is holding true to its multiple statements posted over the weekend about refunds to attendees. Those who held Saturday single-day tickets and Saturday shuttles will receive full refunds. Two-day tickets and Enchanted Overnight Parking will receive 50% refunds. Additionally, campers will be able to receive a Friday hotel reimbursement by emailing their room receipt to [email protected] by Friday, October 31, at midnight.

“We are working closely with our multiple ticket providers to finalize the refund timeline,” the Wicked Oaks team said. “Because many guests purchased through payment plans, the process is more complex and requires coordination across several platforms. We understand the time, money, and planning that go into a festival weekend. We are committed to resolving this quickly and will update everyone as soon as possible.”

To close their statement, Wicked Oaks made it clear that safety is their priority with on-site decision-making. They also shared gratitude to those who stuck with them during the unpredictable weekend.
