London-based label Solid Grooves threw down with an extended, four-hour set from Michael Bibi, Pawsa, and Dennis Cruz.
Solid Grooves has had an bumpy but very fruitful journey as both a label and a party brand. It was started by DJs and producers Michael Bibi and Pawsa in 2015 as a label after some success in the London club scene.
Pretty quickly, the label expanded into events, notably at DC-10 in Ibiza, which is now the only consistent party at the club besides Circoloco. Solid Grooves then ended up platforming other core artists like Reelow, Dennis Cruz, Latmun, Rendher, Ramin Rezaie, Ben Sterling, and Beltran. Now, after ten years, there is no denying the impact of Solid Grooves, with Pawsa charting on the Billboard Hot 100 and Michael battling cancer through it all.
When Solid Grooves Los Angeles was announced earlier this year, I knew it was going to be memorable. While the East Coast gets events like this quite often, especially in Miami, they rarely happen on the West Coast. Everyone was definitely excited. This is a label that brings a taste of the London underground wherever it goes.

Overall, the event delivered in every way I expected.
The lineup originally consisted of Michael Bibi, Dennis Cruz, Pawsa, Rossi., Miguel & Tons, and Mai Lachetti. Framework, the promoter, has been working with Bibi in various capacities since 2019, even enlisting him to take over Hollywood Blvd. alongside BLOND:ISH.
Unfortunately, because of flooding in Ibiza, Rossi. missed his flight and ended up having to cancel this show as well as the afterparty later that night at Sound Nightclub. He did, however, make it up for it the next day by playing almost six hours for free.
While I unfortunately missed Mai Lachetti, I heard her set was great. Miguel & Tons were fantastic, playing a good mix of tech house and the more Latin and tribal-influenced house for which they’re known.
It was clear once we arrived, though, that everyone was waiting for this four-hour B3B. Since Rossi. missed his flight, they extended their set by another two hours — and in hindsight, that was probably a good thing.
Let’s just say it all worked out. This show ran from 4pm to midnight on a single stage, and it had sold out instantly. There were food trucks and a good number of bars. I saw around 10,000 people total. Framework events like this tend to be a little more expensive than those of other promoters, and the promoter does a lot of these outdoor events all summer and fall.

After Miguel & Tons set the vibe, Michael, Dennis, and Pawsa came on strong.
Each artist played one song before switching to the next. They often DJ together at Solid Grooves parties, so this isn’t anything new for them.
Michael played a lot of what I can only imagine were songs he has been teasing as ones he made during his treatment. Dennis played a very wide variety of tunes, including “El Sueño.” Pawsa — the DJ with whom I imagine the crowd was most familiar — brought the heat, playing a number of songs that were likely exclusive to his sets.
This set was exactly what I expected from the trio and then some. Each artist dropped originals and remixes that showed what makes each one of them unique. It was a spectacular evening that made up for the strange layout and so-so sound.
I’m really excited to see what Solid Grooves does next here in SoCal and beyond. The US still hasn’t gotten a One Life tour, but we can expect the usual Miami and New York parties later this year and in early 2026. By my measure, they deserve more love in the US for their undeniable impact on the scene.
