Tame Impala and Cercle Announce Surreal DJ Set in Mexico City

Tame Impala is swapping out the arena stage for a secret rave temple, teaming up with Cercle to deliver a one-time DJ set in Mexico City this October.

Mexico City, buckle up. Next Friday, Tame Impala will set down the guitar and step behind the decks for a one-off DJ set curated in collaboration with the visionary live platform Cercle. The show is set to be a cinematic odyssey, staged in an undisclosed venue deep in Mexico’s ancient urban jungle.

While Tame Impala has carved out a legacy built for sold-out stadiums, this secretive, stripped-back moment is poised to be one of the most intimate, daring performances by Kevin Parker to date. Fans will see Parker’s artistic genius reframed, from psych-rock dreamer to primal beat connoisseur, spotlighting tracks from his upcoming album, Deadbeat —a project steeped in Western Australia’s bush doof roots, deeply embedded in the underground rave culture.

Cercle has built its reputation on transforming music into pilgrimage: throwing Bonobo on a cliffside, Solomun in the Théâtre Antique d’Orange, and Disclosure and Above & Beyond on the top of mountains. Now, with Parker’s genre-bending project, this collaboration is a natural extension of their mission to fuse music, heritage, and visual storytelling into cultural experiences.

Fans can expect Tame Impala’s kaleidoscopic soundscapes to be stripped to their rhythmic core, then reimagined through Cercle’s lens of jaw-dropping locations and high-gloss production. The evening will feel like a ritualistic gathering of sound, light, and atmosphere that pushes beyond a typical live set into something ethereal and animalistic.

Tickets to Tame Impala’s DJ set in Mexico City are sold out, but you can still sign up to join the waitlist to be notified if more become available!

Can’t make it to Mexico? Have no fear, Cercle will release the experience on their YouTube Channel on October 28, allowing fans to vibe out to Kevin’s set anytime, anywhere. Further information will be shared with confirmed guests. Please note that no invitations will be available at the entrance.

Based in Southern California, Jackie grew up with a profound love for all things dance music. She found a home in the festival scene and realized her dream of pursuing a career in music and event production at just fourteen. Over the years, she has worked in various facets of the industry, including writing for various media outlets, managing social media at Audio San Francisco, organizing local events with Burning Man, and working as artist transportation at festivals like Life Is Beautiful. She fell in love with Anjunadeep during her time at Audio, with progressive and deep house encapsulating her heart. However, her music taste spans far and wide, so you never know which side of the festival grounds you may find her at. When she's not bopping around a festival, you'll likely find her behind the decks as DJ JAKLŸN.
