Dirtybird CampINN Hotel Partner Says Organizer Still Hasn’t Paid Booking Fee

One week after Dirtybird CampINN claimed to have settled its late balance with Doubletree by Hilton, the hotel says it still hasn’t been paid.

After Dirtybird CampINN subjected attendees to expensive holds when it failed to pay Doubletree By Hilton at the Entrance to Universal Orlando‘s booking fee on time, the hotel has shared that it still hasn’t been compensated one week later.

Last week, numerous online commentators shared that they arrived at the hotel during the event to learn that holds of more than $1,000, in some cases, would need to be put on their cards. Dirtybird CampINN’s organizers then wrote in a statement that they had “fulfilled all obligations in full” and attendees would be refunded within days.

But a statement shared by Doubletree By Hilton on Monday tells a different story. “Our hotel has not received any payment from the event organizers in regard to the rooms,” it reads. “Any posts about the hotel refunding attendees are absolutely false.”

The post was later edited to include the following clarification: “DirtyBird Records was not in charge of covering the hotel costs. Payment for all hotel rooms and taxes is the responsibility of the Music Festival Trips organizer.”

Music Festival Trips is the company in charge of the festival brand Home Bass. In the context of Dirtybird CampINN, it had partnered with record label and event organizer Dirtybird, a longrunning fixture of the festival landscape known for events like Dirtybird BBQ and Dirtybird Campout.

In a statement of its own, Dirtybird CampINN wrote: “We are deeply disappointed with the payment issues our Dirtybird community experienced at Dirtybird CampINN. We are actively pursuing all necessary legal action to hold the responsible parties accountable.”

“Dirtybird stands firmly with our community, and we are deeply committed to protecting your trust and ensuring you always receive the value and experience you paid for,” the statement continues. “Any attempt to take advantage of our supporters or our brand will not be tolerated.”

Dirtybird CampINN ran from August 29 – September 2. It featured headliners like Justin Martin, VNSSA, The Glitch Mob, and TroyBoi.
