As we cross into the final stretch of 2025, it’s finally time for year-end events, Halloween parties, and more to pop up. One of the first of many to come is the annual collaboration between Midnite Events and Insomniac, Give Thanks Festival, set for November 28-29. This year, the gathering is taking a step away from San Francisco to come to a newer hotspot for dance music in San Jose, California, at the San Jose Convention Center.
The San Jose Convention Center isn’t known for hosting large-scale dance music events of this caliber, especially with the San Jose Civic Auditorium right across the street. This venue is typically used for technology conferences or other gatherings, like FanimeCon and GalaxyCon, making Give Thanks Festival’s move intriguing. In contrast to the Civic Auditorium, the Convention Center is notably larger, which hopefully means better production and experiences.
The two powerhouse promoters throwing the event have already set a high bar with their first headliner announcement. On Friday, November 28, bass-hungry fans are in for an epic b2b between Excision and Sullivan King, marking the first time since 2022 that the heavyweights team up. On the other hand, melodic bass gets a chance to shine on Saturday, November 29 as ILLENIUM and Dabin are set to bring the feels in another highly anticipated b2b.
