Acclaimed DJ and producer Layton Giordani launches New York-based label, MADMINDS, in partnership with global dance giant Armada Music.

Layton Giordani has embarked on a bold new venture with the launch of MADMINDS, a New York City record label created in collaboration with global dance powerhouse Armada Music, the independent Dutch imprint founded by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron, and David Lewis. The label’s debut single is slated to drop in early September.

Rooted in house and techno, Giordani is building a platform for boundary-pushing artists who blur the lines between the two genres and beyond. With MADMINDS, he seeks to channel the raw energy and creative disorder of his formative years in New York’s underground scene, cultivating a space that celebrates innovation, individuality, and fearless experimentation.

“New York City is where I first discovered house and techno at 16 years old,” says Giordani. “I was entrenched in the culture very early on in my career and had the honor of watching the genre’s pioneers shape the music we now love.”

With New York having shaped legends like Todd Terry and Honey Dijon, it’s only fitting that Giordani chose the city as the home base for his latest brainchild. Guided by the slogan “unlock the sound, enter the mind,” MADMINDS reflects that legacy by spotlighting up-and-coming artists who think outside the box. The label promises genre-blurring releases, striking visual concepts, and unique live productions crafted to activate all the senses. Each release will unfold like a digital journey, inviting listeners into a fully immersive experience.

The launch comes after a massive run for Layton Giordani, who’s delivered a string of chart-topping releases after making music for 15 years. From collabs with Adam Beyer and Green Velvet to viral remixes of deadmau5 and John Summit, the artist has cemented his place in the world of house music and techno.

“It feels like the right time to give back and share my story with the world, with a renewed vision and collaborative focus,” adds Giordani. “It’s time to shake things up for electronic music, rising from the very place that raised me.”
