Swedish House Mafia will take over Plaza De Toros in Mexico City on Halloween as they continue to usher in their 3.0 era.
Fans of Swedish House Mafia have been soaking up every ounce they can this year from the legendary trio. While releases have been sparse, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello have continued to remain hard at work as they dive deeper into a new era for the project. Standout appearances at Tomorrowland helped keep the energy alive, along with the news that they’d be returning to New York City in September. Now, they’ve added Mexico City to their list of tour stops this year.
Mark your calendars for Friday, October 31, because that’s when Swedish House Mafia will make their way to Mexico City’s Plaza De Toros, the world’s largest bull ring, to showcase their newly revamped 3.0 era. Those attending will be treated to the bold new vision that the trio has teased with tracks like “Wait So Long” and other tunes that have been sprinkled through their recent sets. Sebastian Ingrosso also notably teamed up with Celine Dion for “A New Day” earlier this summer, bringing the worlds of pop and electronic together for a massive track.
This isn’t the first time that Swedish House Mafia has dominated the decks in Mexico City. The trio found their way there in 2019 to help kickstart their return to the scene after taking a lengthy hiatus. Those in Europe looking for another glimpse at Swedish House Mafia’s 3.0 era can do so at Creamfields next weekend when they perform at the Arc Stage. The trio’s headlining status is a full-circle moment, as this festival was the one where they made their debut two decades ago.
The exclusive artist presale for Swedish House Mafia’s show in Mexico City kicks off on Wednesday, August 20 at 10am local time. HSBC credit card holders have their own presale at 12pm that same day.
