A Man Who Attended Elements Festival has Passed Away

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover end of life expenses for the man who died at Elements Festival.

A 30-year-old man passed away on the morning of Monday, August 11 after attending this year’s edition of Elements Festival in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.

According to multiple sources close to the man — who has thus far only been identified by his first name, Sagel — he went into cardiac arrest in a vehicle while exiting the Pocono International Raceway festival grounds. No official cause of death has been given at the time of writing.

Elements Festival addressed Sagel’s death in a statement on the evening of Wednesday, August 13. “We are deeply saddened to share that on Monday morning, a member of our community passed away after receiving treatment onsite and being transferred to a local hospital,” it reads. “We are sending our love and condolences to their family and friends.”

It continues: “Our fans and community mean everything to us, and their safety is always at the heart of what we do. While the exact cause of this tragedy is unknown, we ask that our community support each other and respect the family during this difficult time.”

According to a news release from the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department, an investigation is underway. The office did not immediately respond to EDM Identity’s request for comment.

Two of Sagels friends named Brianna Peterson and Jesse Pompino have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help his parents cover the costs associated with his passing. At the time of writing, it has raised just over $1,500 of its $10,000 target.

“Sagel was the kind of person whose smile put all of your worries at ease,” reads part of the GoFundMe description. “His calm demeanor, his soft and sweet ways of talking and treating you, his open-mindedness and accepting nature, his welcoming presence, his warm embracing energy—these are a few of this remarkable man’s characteristics.”

Outside of Sagel’s passing, Elements Festival enjoyed a relatively incident-free 2025 edition. Last year’s installment of the festival was temporarily halted due to heavy rain, leading the gathering’s organizers to promise a series of improvements ahead of this year’s event.

We here at EDM Identity express our sincere condolences to Sagel’s family and loved ones during what can only be a difficult time. This developing story will be updated as additional information becomes available.
