This Halloween, Canadian promoter Boodang is bringing artists like Mau P, Rezz, and Porter Robinson to the Edmonton Expo Centre for Scream.
Having operated since 1999, Boodang knows how to throw a party. And come Halloween, the Canadian promoter is once again treating attendees of its annual Scream gathering to some of the best in the EDM world at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Alberta on October 31-November 1.
Billed for the occasion are two post-pandemic breakthrough house acts: Mau P and HUGEL. The former gained new life from his 2022 single, “Drugs From Amsterdam,” after previously producing big room under the name Maurice West. The latter, while French, has grown inextricably linked to the Latin house movement on the back of his 2021 single “Morenita.”
But the Scream 2025 lineup also features plenty of artists who achieved international fame more than a decade ago. Rezz will leverage her trademark midtempo style for the event, whereas SLANDER will add a measure of melodic bass. Even Porter Robinson, who’s much harder to categorize but has recently dabbled in pop, will perform at the Halloween celebration.
Some of the biggest names in modern drum and bass are also slated to perform there. Among them are Sub Focus and Dimension, both decorated members of the WORSHIP collective. And while Buunshin‘s rise has been more recent, the runaway success of his debut 2019 single, “Thoughts,” is a well-documented phenomenon in its own right.
Boodang touts Scream as “Canada’s largest indoor Halloween dance music experience,” promising four stages of music. The event has taken place annually for 26 years, but this year’s edition marks the first time that it has expanded to two nights.
