Boutique, artist-curated festivals were all the rage in the post-pandemic scene with new experiences popping up by the month in unique locations. Yet while some have gone on hiatus or bit the dust, one that’s remained strong has been Illenium‘s Ember Shores. This destination festival from Disco Presents, Festication, Feyline, and Gigz is set to return for another round on December 5-7 as it takes over the Barceló Riviera Maya Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Hype built quickly for the return of Illenium’s tropical extravaganza, as the presale and initial general sale sold out quickly earlier this year. Today, that energy was kicked up another notch with the full lineup reveal. Crankdat, Dab The Sky, and Wooli sit as the subheadliners, and all three are sure to bring plenty of bass to the stage.
Ember Shores has become known for offering a dynamic range of artists to explore on its lineup, and this year is no different. Immediate standouts include Blanke, Hex Cougar, Boombox Cartel, Jessica Audiffred, ARMNHMR, ALLEYCVT, Bonnie X Clyde, William Black, and FrostTop. Others, like Elephante, BIJOU, and KREAM, add even more depth with their unique styles, while HAYLA is sure to deliver a soul-stirring performance.
Much akin to previous editions, Illenium will perform daily sets at Ember Shores, showing off plenty of curated tunes along the way. The biggest news for fans is centered on one of those sets, where he’ll perform with fellow melodic bass don Seven Lions for the first time. This is a match made in heaven for anyone who has followed these two artists over the past decade, as both rose to the top of the bass scene with their emotion-fueled sounds in tow.
