Anyma Announces First-Ever Show at Pyramids of Giza in Egypt

Anyma has announced Quantum Genesis, a two-part stage show that marks his debut performance at the Giza pyramid complex in Egypt.

What stone has Anyma left unturned in his global conquest of the electronic music landscape? At least three big ones remain — but not for long. The Italian artist and Afterlife co-founder has announced a brand-new event concept called Quantum Genesis that will see him deliver a two-part performance against the backdrop of the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on October 10.

According to a description, Anyma (real name Matteo Milleri) will play on two separate stages over the course of the outing. The first is dedicated to his Quantum DJ set concept, and the second will host his The End of Genesys audiovisual spectacle that made its debut at the Sphere outside Las Vegas at the end of last year. The event partners include P+US, MODAD, and Venture Lifestyle.

“Audiences can expect an all-encompassing event that heightens the senses through captivating visuals, custom lighting and sensational production,” per the description. It offers no specifics, ensuring that revelers show up with minimal expectations of the spectacle that undoubtedly awaits them.

Milleri, who first made a name for himself as one half of the melodic techno duo Tale of Us, has become one of the most in-demand DJs in the world following the pandemic. The events hosted by his and Carmine Conte’s Afterlife label set a new standard for immersive and story-driven stage shows, earning him sold-out events in major cities across the globe.

The Great Pyramids of Giza have served as the backdrop for DJ performances in the past. Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, and artists belonging to Keinemusik are but a handful of the artists who have played there over the years.
