The Defected North America Tour will see artists like Kevin Saunderson, MEDUZA, and DJ Holographic perform in five US cities and one in Canada.
Fans of house music in the US and Canada are in for a treat as summer gives way to fall. Defected has announced a six-stop tour across North America from August 28 – October 10, billing some of the most respected names in house and techno for gatherings at celebrated venues.
The tour kickoff takes place at Cermak Hall in Chicago, then Defected will host two events in one day on August 30: one at Dirtybird CampINN in Dallas, and the other at It’ll Do Club in Orlando. Then, the label and event brand will touch down at both Club Vinyl in Denver and Floyd Miami on September 13 before concluding the tour with a stop at Picnik Électronik in Montreal.
Individual lineups have yet to be announced for each event. In the meantime, Defected has shared a list of artists billed for the tour as whole, stopping short of mentioning who will play where.
Detroit house and techno figurehead Kevin Saunderson stands out as the most influential act of the bunch, with a vibrant career dating back to the ’80s. Meanwhile, MEDUZA and Solardo add a measure of European panache to the Defected North America Tour lineup, respectively hailing from Italy and the UK.
That’s to say nothing of DJ Holographic, a rising phenom in her own right who also hails from Detroit. Robert Hood and Rimarkable call the Motor City home as well, while the former is a bonafide veteran and the latter has broken through more recently. Artists like Eats Everything, Nick Curly, Shermanology, and Juliet Mendoza also appear on the Defected North America Tour lineup.
Tickets to all Defected events are available on their official website. From there, you can sign up for presale access to all shows on the Defected North America Tour.
