The summer months are upon us, and Fabio whipped up a liquid drum and bass mix that’s perfect to keep you cool throughout the season.
British DJ and producer Fabio has a legacy that precedes itself in the scene. Turn back the clock to the ’80s and you’ll find him starting his career on pirate radio station Faze 1 while performing at clubs like Mendozas in Brixton. Flash forward to the ’90s, and he’d linked up with longtime friend Grooverider to host a show on Kiss 100 and BBC Radio 1, all of which helped bring drum and bass to the mainstream in the UK and beyond.
The past two decades alone have been littered with accolades for Fabio, who has become renowned as a liquid drum and bass pioneer and one of the world’s best DJs. From throwing down compilations for Fabric and Drum & Bass Arena to performing at major festivals like Glastonbury, he’s continued championing the genre while fostering new fans. More recently, Fabio has been ushering in a new era with the launch of Generation Liquid, a label born from the compilation series that bears the same name that debuted in 2023.
Fabio is kicking off the summer months in style by bringing Generation Liquid to Tramshed in Cardiff on June 28. The night will feature a set from the legendary artist alongside support from Skeptical, Breakage, Ransom, Double A Side, Lubi J, and Electra. MC GQ, Illmatika, and special guests are slated to join the fun.
