Ultra Music Festival has partnered with Miami-Dade Animal Services to launch Bayfront Bark, a free community event to help pets find a new home.
While Ultra Music Festival might be most renowned for being one of the premier dance music festivals on the planet, with editions on every inhabited continent, they have a soft spot for their home in Miami. In recent years, this has been showcased through their sustainability program, Mission: Home, but now they’re adding something new into the mix: Bayfront Bark.
The minds behind Ultra Music Festival and Miami-Dade Animal Services have come together to bring Bayfront Bark to life. This free pet adoption event is set to take place on Saturday, June 21 at the Dog Park on the Southeast corner of Bayfront Park, the home of Ultra’s annual spring soiree that helps kick off festival season. Other organizations that have joined in include the City of Miami and the Miami Police Department.
The event is set to feature free adoptions, ice cream, and limited giveaways of Ultra merch, pet products, and other branded swag. Adoptions at this event are first-come-first-served, and you must bring a valid photo ID with you if you plan on finding your new best friend there.
Bayfront Bark is the latest addition to Ultra Music Festival’s Mission: Home program that’s centered on supporting the local Miami community. Since launch, this program has sparked 61 initiatives, eliminated 2.6 million single-use plastics from entering the waste stream, and diverted nearly 400,000 pounds of waste from landfills. Mission: Home has also received accolades including four SUNsational Awards from the Florida Festivals and Events Association and a Sustainability Team Award from the World Sustainability Awards.
Bayfront Bark is set to take place on Saturday, June 21 from 10am to 1pm. Follow Ultra Music Festival’s social media channels for more updates on the festival and other Mission: Home initiatives.
