LCD Soundsystem, Christina Aguilera, Dom Dolla, Peggy Gou, Underworld, The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Anti Up, Mau P, Moby, and more are playing Portola this year.
The Bay Area has been blessed with a fantastic music scene for decades, and it’s become even better in recent years. Why? Because Goldenvoice has breathed life into the area with a fresh festival that has consistently turned heads: Portola. Since its debut, this festival has become one of the premier experiences for dance music lovers in San Francisco. This year, it will carry on that tradition when it returns to Pier 80 on September 20-21, and it’s already staking its claim on the scene with a jam-packed lineup.
The first day is packing quite a punch with some standout headliners who attendees won’t want to miss. LCD Soundsystem, Christina Aguilera, The Chemical Brothers, Anti Up (Chris Lake & Chris Lorenzo), and Mau P stick out immediately, but there’s plenty of depth to explore. Other major acts like Duke Dumont, Caribou, salute, Bob Moses, The Dare, Oppidan, and X CLUB will be taking the stage that day, along with a back-to-back featuring Prospa and Kettama and a high-octane set from ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U.
Sunday’s experience packs just as much of a punch, if not more. That day’s headliners include legendary acts like The Prodigy, Underworld, and Moby, along with phenoms Peggy Gou and Dom Dolla. Add in performances from Brutalismus 3000, Hamdi, Maribou State, Chris Stussy, Swimming Paul, KI/KI, Horse Meat Disco, Kreayshawn—and back-to-backs bringing 2manydjs and Erol Alkan, and The Blessed Madonna and Tiga—and you’ve got one hell of a sonic ride to experience in San Francisco.
Additionally, for the first time ever, DESPACIO will find its way to Portola Festival. This high-powered enclosed sound system and immersive audio experience is truly legendary and will feature James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem and the Dewaele brothers of 2manydjs and Soulwax spinning all weekend long.
Two-day GA passes for Portola start at $359.95, and VIP passes at $649.95. Single-day GA and VIP passes will be available as well for $279.95 and $399.95, respectively. This year will also see a new two-day VIP XL package that starts at $1,599.95, which includes on-stage access at the Warehouse, Pier Stage viewing deck access, a concierge that includes fast-tracked entry and guest services, cocktail delivery service, complimentary food, and more.
The loyalty sale for this year’s edition of Portola kicks off on Wednesday, May 14 at 12pm PT, with the general sale taking place on Thursday, May 15 at 12pm PT. Layaway plans will be available for a limited time for those who would like to split their payments up. Head to the official website for more details and to make your purchase!
