The Brooklyn Mirage Cancels Second Weekend of Shows

Loud Luxury and Cloonee’s events will not take place as planned this weekend as The Brooklyn Mirage cancellations continue.

At this rate, The Brooklyn Mirage event cancellations will become the norm — not the exception. After delays in the Avant Gardner venue’s relaunch timeline forced it to cancel its first two events of 2025, news has broken that this weekend’s gatherings headlined by Loud Luxury and Cloonee have respectively been postponed and relocated.

According to a statement shared on Instagram, Loud Luxury’s Friday, May 9 Brooklyn Mirage show will be pushed back to August 2. Meanwhile, the Saturday, May 10 show headlined by Cloonee will instead take place at Brooklyn Storehouse. The statement notes that tickets for the both events will automatically roll over — but while it says that refunds are available for the former event, it doesn’t specify whether they are for the latter.

Nor does the statement give specific reasons for the delays in its relaunch timeline. Last week, The Brooklyn Mirage chalked its initial cancellations up to a failure to meet an inspection deadline and assured clubbers that the venue was “show ready” — although photos taken there that same night tell a different story. A spokesperson on behalf of Avant Gardner did not immediately respond to EDM Identity’s request for comment.

“We sincerely apologize and appreciate your continued patience as we work toward opening the Brooklyn Mirage,” the statement reads. “We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of what we know will be an incredible experience for our community.”

The Avant Gardner complex opened at 140 Stewart Ave in 2015, and The Brooklyn Mirage — its most famous venue — came two years later. Complaints over sound quality, dancefloor space, and safety led the brand’s new CEO, Josh Wyatt, to plan an ambitious overhaul that was supposed to be finished in time for a May 1-2 Sara Landry double header.
