Following massive block parties in Los Angeles and San Jose, FISHER will perform at Denver’s newly revitalized 16th Street Mall.
Having headlined humongous block parties in Los Angeles and San Jose, FISHER is a bonafide dance music phenomenon. The Australian DJ and producer will now perform at a similar outdoor event in Denver on May 23 that celebrates the completed revitalization of 16th Street Mall.
Last year’s Hollywood Blvd. event was dubbed “Under Construction LA” — which almost seems like a better fit for next month’s outing, as the iconic16th Street Mall has largely been fenced off for years while laborers toiled away on it. $175 million later, the 430,000 public plaza is reopening to the public.
The block party is being organized by AEG Presents, Downtown Denver Partnership, and the City itself, marking the venue’s first big cultural event. Supporting FISHER (real name Paul Fisher) on the lineup are Odd Mob, SIDEPIECE, and Lauren Lane.
“Energic events like this concert accelerates downtown’s economic vitality, drawing fans and visitors to our center city,” said Downtown Denver Partnership President and CEO Kourtny Garrett. “Activating downtown, especially on 16th Street, is fundamental to our mission of building a thriving urban core for all to enjoy.”
Both stateside and abroad, Fisher has demonstrated his far-reaching influence through a series of high-profile billings. In February, he and Dom Dolla reportedly earned a combined $1.6 million for performances at the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tournament in Adelaide, Australia, and his and Chris Lake’s Under Construction event brand is working to reschedule this month’s Bollywood Boulevard event in Mumbai, India after this month’s gathering got postponed.
Tickets to FISHER’s 16th Street Mall block party in Denver are currently on sale starting at $107.30 including fees. Purchase yours and find more information via AXS.
