Insomniac and Boiler Room Are Bringing ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U to Los Angeles

Japanese DJ and producer ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U will take the stage at Boiler Room LA this September!

Many were left wondering what would come from the collaboration between Insomniac and Boiler Room after the two joined forces to curate a stage with a dynamic lineup at Escape Halloween last year. Now, they’ve added another layer to the partnership with the announcement of the upcoming edition of Boiler Room LA, which is set to take place from 3pm-11pm on Sunday, September 21.

Official details surrounding this edition of Boiler Room LA surfaced today along with the curtain being pulled back on the show’s headliner, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U. This Japanese artist blew the roof off during his performance at Boiler Room: Tokyo in 2024, and the video of the set, released on YouTube earlier this year, lit up the internet with its pure, unadulterated energy.

Yousuke Yukimatsu isn’t some new kid on the block, but since his latest appearance at Boiler Room: Tokyo he’s been the talk of the town for many in the scene. Born in Osaka, he started DJing in 2008 and began honing his skills behind the decks. He first stylized his name as ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U while playing alongside fellow Japanese artist DJ Nobu in 2014 and has embraced it ever since. In 2016, he notably quit his construction job and took on DJing full time after being diagnosed with brain cancer, which he has since received treatment for.

Those attending Boiler Room LA will be treated to a set from ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U that will be unlike any other they’ve heard, unless they’ve seen him before, of course. He layers a wide range of styles and influences into his sensational mixes, packing a punch with everything from techno to metal and everything in between.

The location of the show and the rest of the lineup joining ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U remains a mystery, but full details will “drop soon” according to the landing page on the website.
