Insical Delivers a Dose of Peak Time Energy Perfect for Spring

Portuguese DJ and producer Insical dropped a wicked, hour-long techno mix filled to the brim with peak-time energy that will put some spring in your step.

While the mainstream side of the techno scene chugs forward relentlessly, the underground remains a home for talented, forward-thinking artists who are shaking things up. One artist who has been turning heads lately is Insical, and he has continued to prove that he has his finger on the pulse of creating hypnotic gems perfect for warehouse raves.

Turn back the clock to his youth and you’ll find Insical at home in Portugal, attending outdoor raves and developing a passion for electronic music. Flash forward a few years and Insical had relocated to London, where he spent years studying and honing his craft while clubbing. It was nearly a decade ago when he finally landed the gig of his dreams, being a full-time composer and engineer. The caveat being that he needed to relocate to Los Angeles to make that dream a possibility.

Since landing in Southern California, Insical has continued to flourish. Not only has he released tunes on labels like Minimal Sessions, CMND CTRL, The Audiobloc, and Syntheik Sounds, but he has also collaborated with the iconic duo Rabbit In The Moon and taken on the role of supervising sound designer, engineer, and composer for Insomniac Events.

Techno runs deep through Insical’s core, and he’s put that on full display for the mix he whipped up for our Spring Sound Waves series. With this mix I wanted to show my more energetic side, to bring a solid peak time mix for all the warehouse heads and to showcase both artists I admire and some of my own productions.
