Breakaway Dallas has shifted all Friday performances to Sunday as storms and possible severe weather continue to pass through the area.
The Breakaway Music Festival team has been gearing up for a massive debut in Dallas this weekend, but Mother Nature had other plans. The festival was slated to kick off at Fair Park on Friday, April 4, but due to weather conditions in North Texas, that day will not move forward as planned. Instead, all performances from the first day of Breakaway Dallas have been shifted to Sunday, April 6.
The decision to shift the dates arrived after storms and possible severe weather, including flood threats, were predicted to hit throughout North Texas. According to the KXAS-TV (NBC5) weather forecast, the chance of rain is around 90%, with heavy rain expected.
“After closely monitoring the weather and consulting with local authorities and experts, we’ve made the decision to move Friday’s scheduled performances to Sunday, April 6,” said the Breakaway Music Festival team. “Saturday’s lineup remains locked and loaded for an epic day of music!”
We are excited to officially kick off Breakaway’s festival season in Dallas this weekend. Our team has been working hard to bring an unforgettable experience to the city and we can absolutely feel the excitement brewing from the community. As always, the safety of our fans, artists and staff is paramount.
