Summer Camp Presents will not host a festival this year, citing various factors including the state of the industry, artist conflicts, and more.

It’s been quite a roller coaster of an experience for those who have fallen in love with the vibes at Summer Camp Music Festival over the past few years. In 2024, Summer Camp Presents shifted their efforts to a new festival experience, Solshine Reverie. While its debut went off without a hitch, a post in late December revealed that it wouldn’t return in 2025. The focus for SCamp returned to a three-day show series over Memorial Day Weekend this year, but today brought the unfortunate news that it won’t be taking place as planned.

Hours ago, Summer Camp Presents took to its social media channels to announce that the three-day series of shows at Peoria Riverfront on Memorial Day Weekend had been canceled. “Although we gave it our best efforts, a variety of factors such as the state of the music festival industry, artist conflicts, and more did not allow us to put together a Memorial Day event this year that would live up to the Summer Camp Presents brand,” the brand shared. “At this time, our team is looking ahead to our full return in 2026.”

Just because a full-on event isn’t happening doesn’t mean that Summer Camp Presents is leaving its attendees out to dry. Paired with the news is word that a series of shows at the Peoria Riverfront will take place “as a prequel to the big 25th edition of Summer Camp Music Festival in 2026.” This includes an artist TBA on June 20, Cake on June 26, The Infamous Stringdusters & Leftover Salmon with Kitchen Dwellers on July 17, Moe. with Eggy on August 7, and an artist TBA on August 15. Additional artists will be announced in the coming months.

Solshine Reverie remains on hiatus, but Summer Camp Presents said they’re “happy to say that [they] have great plans for the future with this event.” As for Summer Camp Music Festival, mark your calendars for May 22-24, 2026, when the grand 25th anniversary celebration will occur. Stay tuned for more details by following Summer Camp Presents on social media.
