Winter Music Conference (WMC) might’ve taken an extended hiatus over the past few years, but now that it’s back in action, it’s seemingly returned to full form. This year’s edition will see the conference take over Eden Roc Miami Beach on March 26-28, giving those in the industry or aspiring to be more involved their chance to dive into topics, network, and more.
While the initial announcement was met with buzz from those who have long awaited Winter Music Conference’s return, today brought even more exciting news. The first wave of speakers has officially been revealed, and there are already plenty of top artists and industry leaders who are sure to impart their knowledge of the scene to those attending panels and keynotes during the first two days.
Artists slated to speak at WMC include LP Giobbi, Shimza, HAYLA, Aluna, and Sydney Blu. That’s just the beginning, as other influential leaders from the industry, including David Waxman (President, Ultra Records), Chris Johnson (Head of A&R, SoundCloud), Andy Daniell (Director of Music, Defected Records), Sam Mobarek (Head of Major Records, Warner Records), Taryn Haight (VP, Strategy – Electronic Music, Wasserman), and others will be joining in on the conversation. Respected voices in dance music will also be present at these panels, with moderators such as Katie Bain, Kat Bein, Danny Klein, Lorne Padman, and Deron Delgado slated to help strike up thought-provoking conversations.
Beyond the panels, Winter Music Conference will feature a special workshop hosted by EDM Tips founder Will Darling to help artists maximize productivity and creativity in their studio sessions. Other educational sessions are set to be announced in the near future, and there will also be plenty of networking opportunities available at multiple mixers, the official WMC Pool Party, and the EDMAs/IDMAs Hybrid Awards Show.
