BLOND:ISH Announces First-Ever Pacha Ibiza Residency

BLOND:ISH will perform at Pacha Ibiza every Wednesday from May 21 – July 30.

Throughout its long and storied history, Pacha Ibiza has only enlisted one female DJ, Sarah Main, to head up one of its summer season residencies. That looks to change as the White Isle superclub has announced that BLOND:ISH will headline every Wednesday evening between May 21 – July 30.

BLOND:ISH (real name Vivie-Ann Bakos) — who releases her debut album, Never Walk Alone, on Friday, February 14 — shared an Instagram post announcing the news. “Finally got my chance at an Ibiza residency and you’re gonna be a part of it,” she wrote. “This didn’t happen overnight for me, or for most of us. But my drive to bring music with pure intention has been heard.”

In conversation with Billboard, Five CEO Aloki Batra spoke on the club’s historically male-dominated bookings. Remarking that it’s “definitely not” what he considers “equal opportunity and is “controlled by a bunch of, I guess, old school bookers and club owners,” he decided to take the 2025 program in a different direction by including Bakos’ Abracadabra event concept.

“Didn’t realize we were making history,” Bakos wrote in an Instagram post sharing the Billboard article. “No pressure Ibiza.”

Bakos initially began performing alongside Anstascia D’Elene Corniere under a residency called BLOND:ISH at Cherry Nightclub in Montreal in 2008. Those who attended began referring to the duo by that name, and they released their debut EP, Lonely Days, together in 2012. Corniere left the duo in 2019, and Bakos released key records like “Waves,” “Tra Tra,” and “Hold Tight” in the years following the COVID crisis.

Tickets to BLOND:ISH’s residency are now on sale. Purchase yours to the Abracadabra Opening Party on the Pacha Ibiza website.
