truekolors Stirs Souls With His Winter Mix from Groove Cruise Miami

Grant Gilmore by Grant Gilmore

in Exclusive Mix

Rising progressive house artist truekolors dominated the decks on Groove Cruise Miami this year, and now you can hear his set for yourself!

Korean-American artist truekolors has been on quite the journey to become the DJ and producer he is today. He spent his formative years in three cultural hubs on the planet, San Francisco, Manhattan, and Seoul, learning to play a variety of instruments and developing a love for rock music along the way. Studying at USC led to truekolors spending nights at clubs in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where he found a passion for electronic music.

Since then, truekolors has honed in on a progressive-laden sound that stirs souls with sweeping melodies and melancholic vocals while making your feet move with just enough bouncy energy. The past few years have seen him release fantastic tracks like “Mother Earth,” but where he’s really shined has been behind the decks. Denver, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are just a few of the cities he’s touched down lately. He also returned to Groove Cruise Miami this year, where he took over the decks during Neon Owl‘s takeover of Comedy Live on Sunday.

Playing at Groove Cruise is absolutely insane—it’s not just a festival, it’s a shipload of nonstop music, wild energy, and the most passionate fans you’ll ever see. There’s nothing like dropping a track in the ocean to the crowd that gives back everything you put in. It’s a DJ’s dream, but honestly, it’s more like a dream you never want to wake up from.

truekolors might’ve completed his voyage on Groove Cruise Miami this year, but that doesn’t mean he wants the vibes to subside now that he’s back on land. He recorded his set for your listening pleasure, and we are proud to showcase it today in our Winter Waveforms series.

Listen to this mix from truekolors to get a taste of his style, and follow him on social media to stay in the know about his upcoming releases and shows.
