Charlotte De Witte, Carl Cox, John Summit, and Sara Landry appear on the Movement Detroit 2025 lineup.

Movement Detroit is a festival beloved among house and techno fans for its balance between booking world-famous DJs and platforming homegrown talent. Organizers have announced the lineup for the festival’s 2025 return to Hart Plaza from May 24-26, this time placing undeniable emphasis on the former.

Some of house and techno’s brightest-shining superstars appear on this year’s bill, a few having been previously announced. Hard techno heavyweight Sara Landry, influential icon Carl Cox, tech house provocateur John Summit, and trance and techno figurehead Charlotte De Witte are slated to perform at the occasion. Mau P, Nina Kraviz, Sammy Virji, Anfisa Letyago, and Hamdi also stand out among the more recognizable names on the Movement Detroit 2025 lineup.

That’s not to say that the festival’s organizers have overlooked local talent when curating the 2025 event. Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, Carl Craig, Mike Banks, and Stacey Pullen are among the seminal Detroit techno acts who grace this year’s bill. Accompanying them are more recent breakthrough acts like Huey Mnemonic, Jon Dixon, Rimarkable, and Wajeed.

As always — and often to the chagrin of Movement newcomers who wrongly assume that it’s strictly a house and techno festival — hip-hop also enjoys some representation on the Movement Detroit 2025 lineup. The inclusion of A$AP Mob founding member FERG helps maintain the sonic diversity that has become the annual gathering’s calling card.

Today’s announcement also includes the various showcases that Movement Detroit attendees can look forward to in 2025. Carl Craig’s Detroit Love, Kevin Saunderson‘s KMS Records, DJ Minx‘s House Your Life, and Underground Music Academy will each host stage takeovers, with the lattermost marking the first of its kind.

Both single and three-day passes are now on sale, currently priced at $139 and $319, respectively. Purchase yours and find additional information on the Movement Detroit website.
