John Summit, Rezz, deadmau5, and Nostalgix are but a handful of the household names on the VELD Music Festival 2025 lineup.
VELD Music Festival has done it again. For 12 years, the Toronto gathering has showcased the best and brightest in EDM, and this year looks no different. After sharing a list of mainstage headliners in November, organizers have followed up with the full lineup for the 2025 edition set to take place at Downsview Park from August 1-3.
The previous announcement’s billings of John Summit, Dom Dolla, deadmau5, and Tiësto remain among the most prominent acts on the bill. On the accessible end of the spectrum, they’re now joined by Australian genre bender Timmy Trumpet, Swedish superstar Alesso, and US bass music party starter Crankdat.
By no means is that the extent of the VELD Music Festival 2025 lineup’s artistic range. Heavy bass music is well represented thanks to dubstep icon Excision, heavy metal fusion act Sullivan King, and Louisville, Kentucky DJ and producer Blanke.
House and techno also have a home on the bill thanks to Anjunadeep mainstay Lane 8, Drumcode repeat offender Layton Giordani, and London-born, Los Angeles-based duo Loud Luxury, among others. Organizers didn’t only deal with known quantities, though. Post-pandemic breakthrough talent like ALLEYCVT, Nostalgix, and Eli Brown round out a lineup otherwise studded with longtime fixtures of EDM.
VELD Music Festival first took place in 2012 across two days and consisted of two stages. While it has never left its lifetime home of Downsview Park in Toronto’s neighborhood of the same name, it expanded to three days in 2022 after being forced to take two years off on account of the COVID pandemic.
