This year marks the 20th anniversary of Transmission, and they’re celebrating in style with an edition at GelreDome Stadium in Arnhem, The Netherlands, on April 12. The festival will feature a blend of cutting-edge technology, special effects, and top-tier performances over a nine-hour journey, which is also announced to be the only full edition in Europe this year.

The soundtrack for Transmission Festival is just as important as its production, and today, they’ve dropped the initial wave of acts slated to play. Legendary artists, including Cosmic Gate, Markus Schulz, Paul Van Dyk, and Ferry Corsten’s Gouryella, stick out immediately, and all four are sure to impress.

Those artists represent the legacy side of trance, but there are some forward-thinking producers and unique projects to check out as well, such as Daxson, Craig Connelly, RAM and Richard Durand’s Digital Culture, Driftmoon’s Vintage Pure Transmix, and Vision Impossible. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, as more are slated to be announced in the coming weeks.

While the main festival is set to take place in April, those yearning for a dose of trance can get their fix by heading to the Road To Transmission event in Prague.
