Palm Tree Beach Club will open at MGM Grand in Las Vegas this summer, bringing a tropical oasis to the strip that will be the new home for Kygo and other artists during their upcoming residencies.

Ever-changing is a word that would properly define Las Vegas. Hotels, casinos, nightclubs, and other attractions have come and gone over the years as the city levels up its offerings or changes with the times. Today, the latest change has been announced as TAO Group revealed that they’ve teamed up with Kygo and the Palm Tree Crew to transform what was once Wet Republic into Palm Tree Beachclub.

Slated to open in May, Palm Tree Beachclub will be a new state-of-the-art experience at the MGM Grand for dance music lovers who flock to Sin City. The 60,000 square foot space that formerly hosted Wet Republic has been completely redesigned into a vibrant tropical oasis by the Rockwell Group, featuring a ground-level stage, a massive saltwater pool, 12 bungalows, 10 cabanas, daybeds, and more.

We constantly innovate and strive to be at the forefront of hospitality. When the prospect of creating a new venue with Kygo, Myles Shear and their Palm Tree Crew brand presented itself, we jumped at the opportunity to bring a new boutique, festival-style experience to the Las Vegas market for the first time.

Jason Strauss, Tao Group Hospitality Co-CEO

The Palm Tree Crew has been at the forefront of curated lifestyle and global experiences in recent years. Founded by Kygo and Myles Shear, they’ve hosted Palm Tree Music Festivals in Lake Tahoe, Australia, The Hamptons, Aspen, and more, while also fostering relationships with PUMA for a streetwear brand. This new destination will join the company’s hospitality portfolio, including Palm Tree Club Miami, a 115-room hotel and restaurant on Biscayne Bay, and Palm Tree Club Orlando, a two-level restaurant and rooftop lounge in the Live! at The Pointe entertainment district.

“For the past four years, Palm Tree Crew has been committed to creating unforgettable live music experiences around the world, and as we continue to expand into the hospitality sector, it’s only fitting for Palm Tree Crew to take on the ultimate entertainment spot: Las Vegas,” said Myles Shear, Palm Tree Crew co-founder. “We’ve been working closely with our friends at Tao Group Hospitality and MGM Grand for a long time and cannot wait to bring the Palm Tree Crew spirit to the Strip.”

This news also marks the departure of Kygo from his longtime residency at Wynn Nightlife. Upcoming performances and more are still to be announced. Wet Republic previously hosted artists such as Tiësto, Martin Garrix, Zedd, Steve Aoki, Loud Luxury, and more during their residencies with TAO Group.

Tickets for shows this summer are set to go on sale in February. Head to the official website or Instagram for more details on Palm Tree Beach Club Las Vegas.
