Andrew Bayer shared a photo of him and his husband, Allan, holding an ultrasound image of the baby boy they plan to father.

Andrew Bayer‘s supporters are showering him with congratulations and well wishes after the trance-progressive DJ and producer made a big announcement. He and his husband, Allan, are expecting a baby boy at the end of May.

Taking to social media, Bayer posted a photo of him and Allan holding an ultrasound image of the unborn child still in the womb. He shared in the caption that “2024 was an incredibly challenging year,” going as far as to call it “one of the darkest years I’ve experienced,” but that the news has renewed his excitement for life.

“I’m very much looking forward to a fresh start this year, and have never felt more energized about the future,” Bayer wrote. “Al and I have something super exciting to share: we are welcoming our baby boy into the family at the end of May!”

Bayer elaborated that he and Allan “have been working hard getting the home and the nursery ready for [the baby],” and that he expected the development to “inspire a bunch of music and ideas I have been working on.” He has not disclosed the identity of the surrogate or how he and Allan found them.

Andrew Bayer started producing music at only 15 and got signed to Anjunabeats nearly a decade later in 2010, kicking off a period in which he would collaborate closely with label bosses Above & Beyond. He came out to his parents as gay shortly before meeting Allan in August of 2023. Bayer has said that he “knew within the first 2 weeks” that he was going to marry Allan.

In October, Bayer the first-ever Anjunabeats signee, Oliver Smith, released their collaborative four-track Be Kind Rewind EP on the renowned trance-progressive imprint.
